Atom™ & Marc Behrens
Marc Behrens and Atom™ are friends and collaborators since the early 1990s, when both still lived in Frankfurt. Joint ventures extended from music via graphic design to modifications of equipment, just to name a few. In 1997, as Atom Heart & Eyephone, they released the Ambient album "Micropossessed" on CD (Container, The Netherlands/USA). A remastered version in digital format is available from Rather Interesting via iTunes since 2010.
Inspired by the fact that they were working in similar ways and thinking of similar approaches albeit in different musical areas, in 2010 they decided to work on a new composition, soon to be called "Bauteile" [construction parts]. This project draws from a large pool of musical structures and fragments, some of them having been recorded as early as 1987. "Bauteile" was transmitted twice by Deutschlandradio Kultur ( (2012 and 2013) and finally released digitally and on CD by Editions Mego in April 2014.
